Vinu Sundaresan is the founder and CEO of vMobo with
more than 20 years of experience in executive management, operations and technology in the
Tele-communications and Enterprise software industry.
Vinu loves taking risks, mostly in his wife’s
kitchen while cooking Indian food. Under his leadership and guidance the team at vMobo works
fearlessly and to their full potential because when everything else fails we have the plan V. He
got his pilot’s license to fly over obstacles riding his personally trained dragon (we’ve
seen it, really!).
Vinu is a visionary entrepreneur who has successfully
merged innovative technology to existing trends to bring about exponential valuation for all his
stakeholders. He has written many articles on management systems on which he holds 4 patents. Vinu
was the founder of an IT Data center software company, visionary behind Collation - acquired by
IBM in 2005. He was Vice President of software engineering at Covad Communications and Program
Director for Development at TCSI. He also held senior positions at Ascom Nexion, Timeplex and
NJIT. |

Yan Or is a Co-founder and VP - Engineering at
vMobo with over 18 years of management and engineering experience in building and running
highly scalable consumer services and enterprise systems.
Yan is an avid audiophile, who loves everything from
assembling the perfect high fidelity systems to finding the best recordings of Beethoven's 9th. He
can alphabetically stack all his LPs from floor to ceiling within 5 minutes (can you beat him to
that?!). After listening to all kinds of music on all kinds of systems, he discovered that vacuum
tubes and vinyls are the best.
Yan is responsible for the product roadmap, development
and systems operations for vMobo. Prior to vMobo, he managed Yahoo!'s Social Platform Group,
building massively scalable systems that drive social engagement for over half a billion Yahoo!
users. He was the Co-founder and Architect at Collation, Director of Engineering at Covad
Communications and also held management and engineering positions at Tandem and 3Com. Yan holds
over 10 patents in the areas of networking, system management, and automation. |

Anand Sankaran is a Co-founder and Chief Architect at
vMobo. He loves software and has been a hacker for the past 16 years.
Anand is an interesting mixture of a lot of conflicting
things that strangely always seem to fall in place. Being a serious amateur photographer, Anand
spends his holidays waking up at 4 am to catch sunlight often at below freezing temperatures. A
travel enthusiast, he hopes to visit every National Park in the world. He also shot many of the
headshots in this page.
Anand loves to start new projects and experiment with
new ideas. At vMobo, his responsibilities include designing and managing the overall software
architecture for vMobo and making sure the services are available and work as per
expectations on a daily basis. Prior to vMobo, he has worked at Collation Inc. as Software
Architect. |

Sohail Khan is the Vice President - Sales and Business
Development at vMobo. He has more than 14 years of sales and marketing experience in the
interactive space with e-learning, application development, multimedia, online advertising,
website development, mobile marketing and search engine marketing.
Once upon a time, there lived a great botanist named
Sohail, who loved nature and had devoted his time to finding rare species of number crunching
plants. He got infected with the viral media virus through a mosquito bite making him shift his
field (literally!). Sohail bonds very well with animals of all species including Homo Sapiens.
Sohail has been the driving force behind the immense
success of all the digial media agencies he has headed. He was in the core team at DGM India and
built the organization to an all India online performance powerhouse. As General Manager, he
launched Digital Direction, the online advertising division of R K Swamy BBDO. He has worked with
iRealties, Lintas and Tribal DDB India. He has a work experience of working with over 200 large
and small brands across different categories, specializing in setting up entire operations across
various offerings from scratch.

Madhu Gopinathan is CTO at vMobo, having over 16
years of experience in designing and developing large software systems that are deployed at
various enterprises throughout the world.
Madhu can sometimes disappear from the surface of
earth, that’s when he goes scuba diving. An avid traveler, he loves a deep sea exploration.
He can talk to over 500 species of fish including sharks and killer whales (try beating that!) and
can navigate his way in and out of the most complex of sea caves.
Madhu has obtained a PhD in computer science from
Indian Institute of Science in the area of mathematical modelling of software and verifying
software automatically. He holds several US patents and has published research papers in top
computer science conferences in collaboration with researchers at Indian Institute of Science,
Microsoft Research and General Motors India.
He started his career with TCSI followed by Covad and
Sun Microsystems as Software architect and moved on to Miscrosoft as architect evangelist. Before
joining vMobo, he was Chief Architect at Product Incubation & Engineering, Infosys
Technologies. His current interests include building software systems that can learn and adapt to
changes in their environment. |

Mukkul Shyam is a Co-Founder and COO for MEA at vMobo. He is also a co-founder and CEO of ValueFirst Middle East FZC.
Mukkul brings 23 years of operational experience in Sales, Marketing, Finance and IT, along with in-depth knowledge and insights into strategic planning owing to which our competition never knows what hit them.
Just like the men with substance from Humphrey Bogart to Clint Eastwood, Mukkul scuttles off to the 18th Hole with his set of Irons to find some solace. With drives as long as the ones Mighty Mike produced, Mighty Mukkul is one avid golfer. He lives in Dubai with his wife and two sons.
Mukkul is an alumnus of the Doon School, Dehradun, India, with a Masters in Information Systems and Business Administration. He has worked in Executive positions in India, Kuwait, Singapore, UK and Africa. Prior to starting this journey, he was the COO with Cellucom, a large telecom and mobility solutions retailer and distributor in the Middle East.
